Sherri Dhyan’s passion for goldsmithing began at the prestigious Parsons School of Design in New York City, where she majored in metal arts. Her journey in the jewelry industry started as a bench jeweler on 47th Street, where repetitive work on the bench taught her patience and gave her practical experience.  Furthering her education at the Jewelry Arts Institute. Here, she delved into ancient jewelry metalsmithing, learning from esteemed mentors Bessie Jamieson and Myron Bikakis. Driven by a love for ancient jewelry, Sherri’s creations quickly gained admiration, evolving from personal projects to a thriving part-time business. In 1996, she made a pivotal move to Maui, enchanted by its beauty and culture.  First establishing her work at the Master Touch Gallery in Makawao. By 2012, Studio 22k was born in Paia, a testament to her dedication and artistry, showcasing her work and that of fellow goldsmiths.
